Departmental ‘Alumni Meet’ was
conducted on 21st December 2020 from 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm just after
the ‘Grand Alumni Meet-2020’ at the Institute Level. Prof. Dr. Kushare addressed
the alumni on this occasion. Prof. A. M. Jain, Prof. Dhamal, and Prof. T. N.
Date also expressed their views. Dr. Kushare emphasized the need for cooperation
of Alumni to the department for the overall development of the current undergraduate
students. Alumni Dr. Manoj
Mandlik, Mr. Sunil Tidke, Mr. Sandeep Kulkarni, Mr. Lalit Bagul expressed their
views with great enthusiasm. Around 67 alumni were present for the same. This was
not just the alumni meet but the interaction session of alumni with current
students. The interaction was on career development, skill development,
technological development, etc. Finally, the meeting was concluded by proposing
the vote of thanks by Dr. Munje. This event was coordinated by Prof. S. S.
Khairnar and Prof. J. P. Shah.
The vision of the Department is to create socially conscious electrical professionals through high-quality education and emerge as the centre of excellence to meet industry and society requirements.

Virtual Industrial Visit at ‘Shree Controls Solution’ on 4th December 2020
Industrial visit is an important part of the
curriculum and teaching-learning process. It helps to bridge the gap between
the industry and academia. Due to COVID-19, industrial visits are not possible
for students. Hence, the Department of Electrical Engineering has arranged a
virtual Industrial Visit at ‘Shree Controls Solution’ for the students on 4th December 2020. The
Entrepreneur Shri. Sanjay Ohal of ‘Shree Controls Solution’ explained various
robotics and control applications in the industry by its online demonstrations.
A total of 153 students attended the online industrial visit. Through this
visit, students have gained advanced practical knowledge and experienced the
real feel of the industry visit.

Chief Workshop Manager, Traction Machine Workshop and Shri. C. R. Umbarkar, Junior
Engineer, Traction Machine Workshop, visited the Department of Electrical
Engineering and Megger Centre of Excellence on 3rd December 2020
along with Prof. M. R. Umbarkar from Government Polytechnic, Jalgaon.

Completed National Level Virtual Students conference on “AI, ML and IoT Applications in Electrical Engineering” was held during 20th - 21st November 2020
A National Level Virtual Students conference on “AI, ML and IoT
Applications in Electrical Engineering” was held during 20th - 21st November
2020 in association with the EFFECT student body and IET Nashik Local Network.
Total 27 research papers were received out of which 20 were selected for
presentation.
Prof. Dr. D. M. Sonje, Associate professor, Gokhale Education Society's R.
H. Sapat College of Engineering, Management Studies and Research, Nashik was
the keynote speaker for this conference and the topic was ‘Application of AI
and ML in fault detection and classification in electrical machines’.
There were four sessions. Two on each day. Participants presented 15
papers through the Go-to-meeting platform and session chairs Dr. R. K. Munje, Dr.
M. P. Thakre, Prof. S. S. Dhamal, and Prof. G. N. Jadhav have given very good inputs
to all participants to move further in their topics for work.

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on “Amplifying Career Opportunities with Electrical Engineering” on 26.11.2020 by Dr. Vishram Bapat, Director, ECE (India) Pvt. Ltd. Amaravati. A total of 248 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, Dr. Vishram Bapat explored various opportunities in the field of Electrical Engineering for jobs as well as for entrepreneurial development (Atmanirbhar) with the application of Electrical Engineering knowledge. He also shared his own experiences regarding it.

Completed webinar on “Strategic Planning for GATE in Electrical Engineering” on 10th November 2020
Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on “Strategic Planning for GATE in Electrical Engineering” on 10th November 2020 by faculty of GATE Academy and department alumnus Mr.Mahesh Patil. A total of 165 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, Mr.Mahesh shared his experiences for planning GATE exam preparation, the mistakes which may be avoided, time management, revision strategy, etc. He shared the pattern of GATE 2021 and changes done from earlier examinations. Finally, he motivated the participants to appear for the GATE examination and shared the opportunities to the graduates after GATE.

“Road Safety Training program by Nashik First” on 31st October 2020
Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on the “Road Safety Training program by Nashik First” on 31st October 2020 by Mr. Mayur Bagul, Mr.B.K.Dhumal and their team. A total of 115 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, he explained why road accidents occur, the percentage of road injured, and dead peoples on road. They also explained Road safety rules and shared live examples of videos. Finally, they explained do’s and don’ts on the road which was the most interesting and motivating part of the webinar.
