Expert Session on “Getting Closer to the Profession through IEEE”
The expert session in
association with
IEEE Students Chapter is arranged on
“Getting Closer to the Profession through IEEE” for SE and FE Electrical students and staff of
the department on 26/12/2022. The resource person was Mr. Dattatray Sawant, Membership
Development Chair, IEEE Bombay Section. The total No. of Students present were
50. The
expert interacted with our students through his wonderful session. This session
was coordinated by Prof. Puja Raut.
The expert lecture was arranged
by Institutions Innovation Council on National Energy Conservation Day in Association with EFFECT Students Body of Electrical Department for SE
and FE Electrical students and staff of the department on 14/12/2022.
The resource person was Mr.
Anil Thete, Additional
Executive Engineer, MSETCL. The total No. of the Students present were 91. The speaker explained the various
initiatives of the Government of India for Sustainability. During the same
event, students were awarded for their contribution to reaching the schools for
creating awareness about energy conservation and electrical safety.

Faculty Corner
Expert Interaction
Dr. Vittesh Naphade, faculty from the R. H. Sapat College of Engineering, Nashik, has recently completed his Ph.D. from Gondwana University, Gadchiroli on Fault Current Limiter Technology in Moden Power System. During his visit to the Department, he interacted with the faculty members and shared the latest advancements in his area on 27th December 2022. He has published 10 research papers and registered a patent for his technology.
Felicitation of Dr. Badal Kumar
Dr. Badal Kumar, faculty from the
department, has completed his Ph.D. from NIT, Manipur on the topic of
Development and Performance Analysis of Intelligently Optimized Controllers for
Frequency Regulation of Microgrids under the guidance of Dr. Shuma Adhikari and Prof.
(Dr.) Nidul Sinha on 9th December 2022. Congratulations to him.
Felicitation of Dr. Sriniwas Nagaballi
Dr.
Sriniwas Nagaballi, faculty from the department, has completed his Ph.D.
from Visvesvaraya National
Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur on the topic of Some
Studies on Integration of DG and DSTATCOM in Electrical Distribution System under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Vijay S. Kale on 19th December 2022. Congratulations to
him.

Farewell
Farewell to Prof. Sunita Khairnar. She retired on December 31, 2022. She shared the 30 years of experience in her memory and inspired the young faculty.
