e-Newsletter-February 2021

From HoD’s Desk

Dear readers, on behalf of the Department of Electrical Engineering, once again I would like to welcome you to the monthly e-Newsletter of the department covering happenings in February 2021. After the completion of the admission procedure of First-Year and Direct Second-Year students in January 2021, online lectures started on the 1st of Feb 2021. At the end of the second week, at the institute level, it was decided to call students for offline lectures with all the necessary precautions and guidelines given by State Government and University. Students were asked to submit undertakings for attending offline classes. For the 1st week of offline classes, the attendance was low but later by the end of the month it was raised to 70% for all the classes. Everyone (teachers and students) was excited to teach and learn, as offline classes were starting with a gap of almost one year. As if the spring season has come in the department. Each lab, classroom, and especially Faraday Hall was full of the laughter of students. All the students were busy in lectures, practical sessions, submitting examination forms as per guidelines of Savitribai Phule Pune University, and filling scholarship/free-ship forms. And, faculties were fully engaged with lectures and practical sessions. Other activities, achievements, happenings in the department along with upcoming events are mentioned in this newsletter.
