Webinar by Dr. Saleh Mobayen on 28th July 2020

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on “Adaptive Tracker for n-link Rigid Robotic Manipulators via Sliding Mode Control” on 28th July 2020 by Dr. Saleh Mobayen, Associate Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Zanjan, Iran. A total of 288 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, Dr. Saleh explained the mathematical background, design steps of the controller, and its implementation to the robot manipulator. He also presented his research areas and experimental set-ups developed by his students. Finally, he presented his research philosophy which was the most interesting and motivating part of the webinar.

Webinar on 'Basics of Earth Testing' on 11th July 2020

The ‘Centre of Excellence’ in Insulation and Diagnostics set up in the Department of Electrical Engineering with the support of Megger India (Pvt.) Ltd. has completed the Webinar on “Basics of Earth Testing” on 11th July 2020 from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm by Mr. Anant Waghchoure, Manager (I&C Division), Megger India (Pvt.) Ltd. A total of 980 participants attended the webinar including students, faculty members, and industry professions. In this webinar, Mr. Waghchoure explained the basics of earthing, earth testing, steps to ensure confidence in the test unit before conducting the test at the site, safety aspects, step and touch voltage, earth testing tools, and section criteria, etc. Centre of Excellence also is planning to provide testing and consultancy services in the field of earthing, insulation diagnostics, equipment condition monitoring, cable fault detection, and other relevant activities.

Webinar on 'Next Generation Technologies' on 1st July 2020

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on “Next Generation Technologies” on 1st July 2020 by Dr. B. E. Kushare, Professor and Head of the Department and Power Quality Consultant and Certified Energy Auditor. A total of 360 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, Dr. Kushare introduced the next-generation technologies, such as 3-D printing, advanced analytics, advanced materials, Advanced Robotics and Cognitive Automation,  Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Bio-manufacturing, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, Digital Design, Simulation and Integration, Energy Storage, High-Performance Computing, Interface of Things and Internet of Things.

Faculty Training on Exploring the Use of CANVAS LMS

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the online training for faculty members on “Exploring the Use of CANVAS LMS” on 30th June 2020. A total of 151 faculty members participated actively in this online training to understand the use of CANVAS as a learning management system. The speakers were from the department Prof. Ganesh Jadhav, Prof. Nayana Jangle, and Prof. Omkar Buwa. The purpose of organizing this training was to make faculty members aware of the CANVAS learning management system that can be very effectively used during this COVID-19 situation. During this session, experts have shown the online demonstration by registering a course on the CANVAS platform and its assessment.
