From HoD’s Desk
Greetings!
October symbols the beginning of
festivals like Dussehra and Diwali and with that, it is also known for the month of examinations. Due
to pandemics, although the complete academic calendar has been shifted from the
track, the University In-Semester Examination is conducted in the last week for
third-year and final-year students. It is expected that the first-year and
direct second-year admissions will begin in the next month after the
declaration of CET results.
This month, the institute faced the
committee of experts from UGC for granting academic autonomy to the institute.
One of the members of the committee visited the department and department
laboratories. Overall visit was good and the institute may get Autonomy for the
next year.
Also, the offline practical sessions
for the second-year students started on 20th October. Students with
two doses of vaccination were asked to join the institute/department in the
afternoon slot for practical sessions. Students are also excited to join the
college but maybe due to Diwali, the response was poor. This may improve significantly
after Diwali. Hope to see more charming and enthusiastic faces in November.
