Panel Discussion on “Impact of Masters in Electrical Engineering on Graduate’s Career” on 7th November

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Panel Discussion on “Impact of Masters in Electrical Engineering on Graduate’s Career” on 07.11.2020. Details of the panelists are given below

1) Shri. Sudhir Patil, Senior Engineer R&D, TDK India Private Limited, Nashik

2) Shri. Anurag Lulhe, Assistant Manager, Product Management and Support, KSB Pumps, Pune

3) Shri. Shrikant Mali, Founder CEO, Enverden Labs, Nashik and

4) Ms. Deirdre Sylvester, Control System Engineer, North Connex Tunnel Project, Australia

Panel discussion was moderated by Dr. R. K. Munje. 

A total of 253 participants registered for the Panel Discussion and 100 participants attend the same. Through a panel discussion, the panelists have (1) made graduates aware of the fact that the post-graduation adds value to the education, (2) explore opportunities and job prospects in Electrical Engineering, and (3) help graduates understand that it helps them to get more insight into the engineering subjects and acquire mastery of specialized subjects or topics.

Completion of Webinar on “Career Possibilities in Electricity Policy and Regulation” by Mrs. Ashwini Ghayal Chitnis

Department of Electrical Engineering has successfully organized the Webinar on “Career Possibilities in Electricity Policy and Regulation” on 24.10.2020 by Mrs. Ashwini Ghayal Chitnis, Independent Researcher and Policy Analyst, Pune. A total of 183 participants attended the webinar. In this webinar, Mrs. Ashwini Ghayal Chitnis explored opportunities in the social field with the application of engineering knowledge for the development of Electricity policies and regulations. She also discussed some case studies in which she was involved.

Completion of the 8 Weeks Course on ‘Writing and Publishing Research Paper’

Department of Electrical engineering has successfully completed 8 weeks Comprehensive Course on ‘Writing and Publishing Research Paper’ on 24th October 2020. Around 60 participants have completed this course. In this course, participants are empowered with all the vital skills required for writing and publishing research paper through examples, discussions, demonstrations, hands-on, and interaction. Weekly there was one session of two hours only on Sunday from 10 am to 12 pm. The course started on 6th September 2020 and concluded on 24th October 2020. The course was designed in such a way that the research paper of the participants will be ready at the end of the course. Each week participants submitted assignments in parts, which collectively formed their research paper. The complete course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ravindra Munje. Soon the Department will be announcing the next batch of 25 participants in December.

Completed AICTE Sponsored Phase III STTP from 14th September 2020 to 18th September 2020

The Electrical Department had received funds from AICTE for conducting a one-week Short-Term Training Programme (STTP). As per the guidelines of AICTE, during this COVID-19 the situation, it is to be conducted in three different phases in online mode. All three phases of the STTP are successfully completed. The 3rd phase of the same is recently completed from 14th September 2020 to 18th September 2020. The title of STTP is ‘IoT and Advanced Power Electronics Application in Smart Grid’. A total of 250 plus participants registered for the same. Out of this, around 150 participants attended this STTP. The speakers were

विद्युत अभियांत्रिकीला प्रवेश का घ्यायचा?

सध्याची परिस्थिती पाहता बऱ्याच अभियांत्रिकी विद्यार्थ्यांच्या मनात भविष्यातल्या औद्योगिक बदलांबद्दल आणि नोकरीच्या संधींबद्दल अनेक प्रश्न आहेत. या लेखामार्फत मी विद्युत अभियांत्रिकीचे शिक्षण घेऊ इच्छिणाऱ्या भावी विद्यार्थ्यांना व सध्या शिक्षण पूर्ण करत असणाऱ्या विद्यार्थ्यांना सांगू इच्छितो की विद्युत अभियांत्रिकी क्षेत्रात मुबलक प्रमाणात संधी उपलब्ध आहेत. त्यांनी काळजी करण्याचे काहीच कारण नाही. या सविस्तर लेखामध्ये वीज निर्मिती, विद्युत वाहन निर्मिती, स्मार्ट शहर निर्मिती, इत्यादी मध्ये असलेल्या संधी सांगितलेल्या आहेत. माझ्या मते हा लेख अभियांत्रिकी मधली विद्युत शाखा का निवडावी याचे महत्व अधोरेखित करतो.

(NIT Goa), Dr. C.N.Bhende (IIT Bhubaneswar), Dr.Pradeep Kumar Yemula (IIT Hyderabad), Dr.Suresh Kumar Gawre (MANIT Bhopal), Dr.Aeidapu Mahesh (NIT Surat), Mr. Santosh Nanavati (Velox Automation, Surat) and Mr.Sanjay Pal (Legrand (India), Mumbai).
