Electrical
Department had received funds from AICTE for conducting a one-week Short-Term
Training Programme (STTP). As per the guidelines of AICTE, during this COVID-19 the situation, it is to be conducted in three different phases in online mode. The 2nd
phase of the same is recently completed from 31st August 2020 to 5th September
2020. The title of STTP is ‘IoT and Advanced Power Electronics Application in
Smart Grid’. A total of 350 plus participants registered for the same. Out of
this, around 150 participants attended this STTP. The speakers were Mr.Balaji
Mohan (Schneider Electric, Bangalore), Dr.D.N.Gaokar (NIT Surathkal), Dr.Suresh
Mikkili and Dr.Sreeraj E.S. (NIT Goa), Dr. C.N.Bhende (IIT Bhubaneswar),
Dr.Pradeep Kumar Yemula (IIT Hyderabad), Dr.Suresh Kumar Gawre (MANIT Bhopal),
Dr.Aeidapu Mahesh (NIT Surat), Mr. Santosh Nanavati (Velox Automation, Surat)
and Mr.Sanjay Pal (Legrand (India), Mumbai). Recording of all the sessions will
be made available on the YouTube Channel of the Department.
